Oz Lifting to show new non-permanent davit system at Chicago Build

Oz Lifting Products LLC will exhibit its new PCX System, a non-penetrating parapet clamp davit solution for rooftop material handling, at Chicago Build, which takes place 28-29 October at McCormick Place.

The PCX is engineered as a complete solution-based system for solid concrete parapet rooftop applications; it is a removable, non-penetrating parapet clamp davit, designed specifically for material handling on solid concrete parapet walls.

The PCX Clamp secures to the top of a solid concrete parapet without drilling or permanent installation, creating a reliable anchor point for the PCX 250 davit crane, for lifting operations up to 250lb. The system provides fast setup, easy removal, and can be reused across multiple lift locations, allowing crews to perform rooftop lifts safely and efficiently.

The US patent-pending PCX Clamp is essentially a removable, two-piece davit base. During installation, the clamp halves are positioned around the parapet and secured by tightening the main threaded rod, which applies clamping force to the wall and creates a stable temporary anchor point for material handling lifts. The PCX 250 davit installs into the PCX Clamp in seconds with the Oz Quick Connect System, allowing the complete lifting system to be deployed, removed, and relocated between lift points quickly.

The new PCX System has broad application wherever safe, temporary lifting is required from solid concrete parapets. That makes it well suited to commercial buildings, hospitals, universities, hotels, data centres, government buildings and airports, as well as other construction and infrastructure projects. It is adjustable to fit solid concrete parapet walls from 6 to 18in. Finished with an exterior-grade industrial powder coat and manufactured from durable steel, the system is built to withstand demanding working environments. The extended-reach davit provides a maximum 62in reach and 87in hook height, while maintaining its maximum weight capacity in all positions. Four boom height adjustments, together with 360deg rotation or a single-position locking collar for controlled lifts, give operators the flexibility to adapt to a variety of lifting scenarios. The system also features a manual CE winch (with an integrated Weston brake), which is removeable to accommodate a drill drive adapter. The product is made in the USA.

Chicago Build attendees will also be able to see the Tele-Pro davit crane, leveraging the benefits of the company’s other davits, while telescoping the boom in and out under load. The electric series chain hoist, builder’s hoist, manual hoists, trolleys, and beam clamps complete the line-up.
