Positive reaction to Leguan Lifts’ new all-terrain electric spider at Apex
Leguan Lifts took the opportunity of the Apex exhibition in Maastrict, The Netherlands, to launch its new OptiTemp battery-powered All-Terrain Series spider lift. The machine, designed to offer true diesel-equivalent performance generated more than €2.5 million in pre-orders secured for Q1 2027 deliveries.
Leguan’s OptiTemp battery-powered All-Terrain Series is designed to deliver diesel-equivalent performance while offering the benefits of zero-emission and silent operation. The electrified All-terrain Series attracted significant attention from rental companies, contractors, arborists, and infrastructure professionals.
The company said that visitors to the stand were particularly impressed by the fact that this is the first electric spider lift in the market, which can perform any task just like the combustion engine versions. In addition, customers can now perform jobs that were previously restricted by noise and emission regulations, which are becoming increasingly common in urban areas. This expands the addressable market and increases fleet utilization.
“Coming to Maastricht, we knew this is a product which the rental companies across Europe have been waiting for,” said Jori Mylläri, VP of Sales & Marketing at Leguan Lifts.
“While we expected strong positive feedback, as this product was developed hand-in-hand with our key customers, the response at Apex 2026 and the Leguan VIP Event in Maastricht still exceeded all our expectations.
“Achieving over €2.5 million in sales during the exhibition days alone is a remarkable milestone. We closed deals across Europe and secured strong future interest from Asia and North America. Apex provided a great platform for us to meet international professionals from the powered access industry and to reinforce our position as a leading partner to rental companies worldwide,”Jori continued.
The new Series use a 27kWhr battery made by Leguan’s parent company, Avant Tecno Group . It is described as highly innovative, being immersed in liquid to keep it optimum working condition in all types of environments and temperatures. Jusso Valtakari, Leguan’s marketing manager, said that the battery guarantees a full day’s work on one charge and up to three days for many applications.
In addition the machine is ready to work immediately – it does not need any warm up time and with fixed track and pre-set outriggers, operators can get to work very quickly. All terrain design means the OptiTemp can drive off the trailer, over kerbs and rough terrain and get to the work site very quickly.
Leguan said that, the positive feedback received throughout the exhibition further validates its commitment to continuous innovation and customer- focused product development. Building on the momentum generated at Apex and the successful launch of the OptiTemp series, Leguan Lifts looks forward to continuing its growth trajectory and delivering industry-leading access solutions to customers worldwide.
