WH Scott Group unifies brand identity

The WH Scott Group has refreshed its brand identity, bringing together WH Scott, Re-Ropes and Metlab under a unified visual identity and rationalising the brands to create a clearer focus for the future. It preserves the expertise, heritage and customer focus that have made each business a trusted partner to its customers over many years, while providing a stronger, more consistent platform for continued growth.

At the forefront of the Group is WH Scott, founded in 1897 and with a history deeply rooted in lifting equipment, lifting solutions and lifting tackle. A refreshed name and logo mark the next chapter for WH Scott, strengthening its position both within the Group and as a company in its own right.

The new WH Scott brand has been developed to better represent the scale and breadth of the Group while providing greater clarity across its operations. The logo celebrates WH Scott’s long-standing position within the lifting industry, drawing inspiration from the controlled envelope of a planned lift – representing the point where failure would matter most and the systems engineers use to protect it.

The new tagline, ‘Safety Critical Solutions,’ reflects the expertise, assurance, attention to detail and commitment to safety that customers rely on every day.

Today, WH Scott Group employs more than 294 people, with further growth expected over the next 12 months. The WH Scott Group operates from 14 locations across the UK and Ireland, with the WH Scott company accounting for 10 of those locations. Each depot is strategically located and equipped to support both local customers and national projects, providing lifting equipment, engineering expertise and technical support across the UK and Ireland. WH Scott continues to support customers across overhead cranes, hoisting systems and lifting tackle, alongside inspection, maintenance and supply of critical components.

With the strength of its 10-depot network, WH Scott is able to provide customers with local service backed by national capability. Dedicated inspection and repair hubs, extensive stock holdings and specialist technical expertise enable the company to respond quickly and effectively to customer requirements.

The Group’s supplier relationships are stronger than ever, allowing WH Scott to continue expanding its range of products, services and technical solutions. Through close collaboration with trusted industry partners, WH Scott can provide customers with access to leading technologies, specialist support and expert knowledge across the lifting sector.

These strong supplier partnerships, combined with WH Scott’s technical expertise and nationwide depot network, enable the company to deliver reliable solutions, responsive support and dedicated aftersales service to customers across the UK and Ireland.

The combined expertise of WH Scott, Re-Ropes and Metlab also enables the Group to provide customers with a more complete service offering, supporting safety-critical operations across a wider range of industries.

Re-Ropes provides specialist lift re-roping and associated engineering services to customers throughout the UK. From lift re-roping and technical support to condition reporting, re-belting works and specialist repair services, the company helps customers maintain the safety, performance and reliability of their lifting systems.

Metlab provides independent inspection, testing and certification services across a range of safety-critical industries. Its experienced team helps customers achieve compliance, manage risk and maintain confidence in their assets through rigorous inspection, testing and technical assurance services.

Patrick Doyle, CEO of the WH Scott Group, said: “This rebrand reflects who we are today as a business. Although our visual identity has evolved, who we are and the values we stand for remain unchanged. Across the Group, we work as one company and remain committed to delivering the technical expertise, reliability and service that our customers depend on every day.”
