Vertikal Days 2026 – set for a standout year

Vertikal Days is fast approaching, and the organisers say that this year’s event looks set to be one of the best yet. Taking place on 9 and 10 September, the lifting and working at height industries will converge at Newark Showground,UK  for two days of networking and a close look at the latest ideas and developments manufacturers, dealers and service providers have been working on.

This year’s Vertikal Days is shaping up to be Europe’s largest dedicated event for lifting and work at height, bringing together equipment for moving heavy loads as well as platforms for lifting people safely into position. The show also keeps its all-inclusive format, with parking, entry, refreshments and lunch included.

Visitors will be able to see, test and try a wide range of new machines, products and ideas from leading crane, access platform and telehandler manufacturers and suppliers. Just as important are the specialist exhibitors behind the scenes, showcasing new technology and practical solutions spanning software, electronics, safety equipment and a host of ancillary products designed to make jobs safer and more efficient.

Adding fresh energy this year will be 25 plus first-time exhibitors making their Vertikal Days debut with no less than 19 in the Marketplace alone and six on the runway to date, bringing new names and a new approach to the show.

At the centre of the showground, the Marketplace Pavilion and café is the place to find the specialists and service providers that keep fleets running and sites moving. Due to an early sell-out, the Marketplace has been extended this year to accommodate over 60 stands. Exhibitors here cover everything from electronics, components and spare parts to rigging gear, safety equipment and inspection services, alongside training providers and finance specialists. It is a concentrated showcase of the practical tools and support that sit behind day-to-day lifting and access operations.

The industry’s biggest lunch gathering takes place each day between 12 and 2.30pm in the main Catering Pavilion, but for those after a quick bite to eat, rather than the full sit-down lunch, the new centrally located Pit Stop located in the central aisle will be serving pulled pork rolls, salads and a variety of jacket potatoes.

Networking under the Starshade

This year’s networking evening, ‘Barcelona Beats’, will adopt a Spanish theme and gets under way from 5.30pm on Wednesday 9th September under the Starshade. Visitors who would like to attend should contact the Vertikal Days organising team or exhibitors for tickets.

Your guide to the show

Look out for the Vertikal Days show-guide in the September issue of Cranes & Access magazine. It includes a full exhibitor and brand listing, a site map showing where to find them, and a run-down of key products to watch for, along with the main events, timings and other practical information for planning your visit.

Many exhibitors will run live demonstrations on their stands, giving visitors the chance to see new equipment in use and, in many cases, step aboard and try it for themselves.

Industry discussion continues away from the stands, with several association meetings scheduled during the show. The CPA will host a joint Crane Interest Group (CIG)/Tower Crane Interest Group (TCIG) Open Meeting from 2pm to 4pm on Thursday 10th September in the Cedric Ford Building (downstairs).

IPAF will also host a series of member meetings (dates and timings to be confirmed) and will be promoting its 2026 Global Safety Campaign, Check It!, highlighting the importance of inspecting equipment. A live demonstration will underline the risks and run through the checks that should be carried out, while a dedicated area will spotlight IPAF’s new Spotter Training Course, along with mobile crane and hoist training.
