Genie Updates SmartLink Control System | Industry News

Genie has updated its SmartLink control system to include new features like on-board diagnostics and troubleshooting.

As a result of customer feedback, the system has a new, simplified platform controller user interface and additional functionality like proportional lift and control on the joystick. The upgrade will also reduce hand fatigue by replacing the “push and hold” with a “momentary push” button to begin lifting on the joystick. The upgrade may be retrofitted in the field.

The SmartLink system upgrade applies to Genie scissor and portable products that use the SmartLink control system including the GR, GRC, QS , slab scissors and GS69DC/BE scissors.

Available now in North America, all SmartLink Control System production will incorporate this new functionality. Retrofit kits will be available globally in early July. The upgrade will also be available in EMEAR in July and China in September.
