Franna appoints Mobile Cranes Canada Ltd as distributor in Canada

Franna, the Australian manufacturer of pick and carry cranes, has appointed Mobile Cranes Canada Ltd (MCC) as an official distributor of Franna cranes across Canada.

Based in Nisku, Alberta, MCC will represent Franna in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. This marks a significant step forward for Franna as it expands its global footprint and brings its renowned lifting solutions to the Canadian market.

MCC has recently acquired the AT24 US, a Franna model specifically engineered for the North American market.

Mobile Cranes Canada is led by a team with deep roots in the mining, oil and gas, and infrastructure sectors. With a diverse range of experience in engineering, operations, maintenance, and project management, MCC brings a highly qualified, industry-informed approach to the crane market. The team has direct experience working with Franna pick and carry cranes in Australia, giving them unique insights into the product’s full potential in real-world applications. As a result, MCC now stands as an expert advisor on Franna crane capabilities, usage, and safety.

Jeremy Ferrett, MCC said, “We are excited to become an official distributor for Franna cranes in Canada. With Franna’s phenomenal reputation already established in their home market of Australia, this collaboration allows us to bring innovative lifting solutions to our customers across Canada, enhancing their operational capabilities.”

As part of the launch, MCC has recently acquired the AT24 US, a Franna model specifically engineered for the North American market. This state-of-the-art pick and carry crane features enhanced safety technologies designed to protect both operators and the surrounding work environment. The AT24 US includes integrated overload protection, Franna’s proprietary Dynamic Load Moment Indicator (LMI), an external emergency stop function, and an ergonomically designed cabin that prioritizes operator comfort and visibility. These features are a testament to Franna’s commitment to both safety and performance, giving operators the confidence to focus on their tasks without compromise.

The AT24 US made its Canadian debut at Alberta Heavy Equipment Show, which took place April 24 – 25, 2025 at the Edmonton EXPO Centre. Visitors to the show had the opportunity to see the crane in person and speak directly with MCC’s expert team about its features and applications in the field.

Andreas Ernst, general manager Material Handling & Lifting Americas, Terex stated, “The team at MCC brings a wealth of application and product knowledge to our customers, understanding the unique benefits and features of the Franna product line. I am looking forward to working with the team in Canada as we introduce the Franna pick and carry cranes to the market.”
