Combilift Forklift Models Make a Splash at ProMat

At ProMat, Combilift, Greensboro, N.C., marked its 11th year of production of the Aisle-Master articulated forklift with the introduction of new designs and a new model. End users have found that by replacing a combination of reach and counterbalance trucks with narrow aisle operation Aisle-Masters, their storage capacity can be doubled.

Aisle-Master was a pioneer of LPG power in articulated trucks when it first launched its range eleven years ago, and AC technology was incorporated as standard into its electric models in 2007. The electric models displayed at ProMat 2011 featured the redesigned operator's cab and controls for improved ergonomics and over-articulation,  which allows the unit to be operated faster in more narrow aisles. Also new to the range is the narrow chassis 3,300-pound capacity 33E model, which is able to work in even tighter aisles for more space-saving handling and storage operations.

All Aisle-Master models are designed to enable straightforward, quick access to components, reducing service and maintenance time and speeding up routine daily checks. Aisle-Master Features include 26-hp (19.5 kW) AC traction motor, 775- and 930-amp hour batteries, an ergonomically designed operator's cab, super elastic tires, robust chassis construction, standard integral side-shift, only two motors (traction and hydraulic), front wheel drive, and five-year/5,000-hour parts warranty.

Model Combi-CB8 (8,000 lbs)

Combilift also displayed the COMBI-CB8 at ProMat 2011. The new 8,000-pound capacity COMBI-CB8 complements the 6,000-pound capacity Combi-CB6 range.

The Combi-CB8 will bring many advantages to customers who today may be using standard conventional counter-balance forklifts, reach trucks, side loaders, or electric 4-way forklifts. The multi-directional Combi-CB8 is available in LP gas and diesel configurations, and it is available in lift heights up to 25 feet. Its rubber tires give the advantage of indoor/outdoor capabilities. A fully enclosed cabin with heater can be offered to accommodate harsh/wet environments.

After two years of development and extensive trials, the Combi-CB8 is now in serial production. The Combi-CB8 is more compact than a traditional counterbalance forklift, has the added advantage of multi-directional operation, and is ideal for any customer who handles both palletized and long products.

Watch the Aisle-Master and Combi-CB models in action.
