Kevin O’Shea honoured at Working at Height Awards
On 15 – 16 October 2025 IPAF North America hosted the Working at Height Conference & Awards, at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee. The Working at Height 2025 Awards celebrated outstanding contributions to safety, leadership, and innovation in the powered access industry.
This year the Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded posthumously to Kevin O’Shea, an extremely popular and influential member of the industry who sadly died earlier this year.
“Kevin made a lasting mark on our industry and on all of us who had the good fortune to know him. With great admiration, respect, and gratitude, we honour the memory and the legacy of a true industry leader – my friend and colleague, Kevin O’Shea – with this Lifetime Achievement Award.” said Tony Groat of IPAF in tribute.
The winners of the other Working at Height awards were:
- Working at Height Safety innovation – OEM/Supplier: Haulotte for MyCompanion
- Safety Culture and Leadership Excellence – Rental: SOS Equipment
- Technology innovation award: Genie for Serial Hub QR Code system
- New Product Award – Scissor Lifts: MEC for 2032SEAC
- New Product Award – Boom Lifts: – Genie for S-85 XC FE hybrid and S-85 XC E
- New Product Award – Atrium lift/compact crawler: – Palazzani for TZJ 530 and TZJ 590 spider lifts
- IPAF North America Member Company of the Year: National Lift Truck
- IPAF/ALH Person of the Year: Brian Clark, Sunbelt Rentals, director product support and IPAF’s North America regional council chair
- Distinguished Service Award: Pat Witte
The awards were closed by Peter Douglas, CEO and managing director of IPAF, who congratulated all the winners and those shortlisted.
