EQSS makes Vertikal Days debut following milestone first year in the UK
EQSS is making its debut as an exhibitor at Vertikal Days 2025, building upon a successful 18 months of operations in the UK.
Showcasing OverWatch, EQSS’s proven secondary guarding solution for scissor lifts, the company will have a stand in the Marketplace at Vertikal Days. The EQSS team will be on hand to provide demonstrations of OverWatch and discuss the features of its recently launched OverWatch 9 software update, that provides greater freedom of movement for the operator while maintaining protection from the risk of entrapment.
Since opening their dedicated UK operation in Luton in April 2024, EQSS has firmly established its presence within the UK market, with widespread adoption of OverWatch by leading hire companies and major contractors. The appointments of James Samuel as UK business representative and Tahir Dad as technical sales & service manager has ensured strong local sales and service support for customers, and EQSS is able to offer rapid delivery on OverWatch devices across the UK.
The result has been impressive, with multiple leading U. hire companies and contractors adopting OverWatch as part of their commitment to protecting operators working at height. This commitment was recognized at the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs) in March, where Sunbelt Rentals UK received the award for Contribution to Safe Working at Height. The introduction of OverWatch into their fleet of scissor lifts was a key factor in their win.
This past year has seen heightened industry focus on scissor lift entrapment risks, driven in part by safety initiatives such as IPAF’s 2024 campaign, ‘Crushing Can Kill’. In response, several major contractors have mandated the use of crush protection systems company wide.
Andrew Delahunt, business development manager, EQSS said, “The launch of our UK operation was perfectly timed to meet the growing demand for effective secondary guarding on scissor lifts. The industry is increasingly aware of the risks, and now it is up to hire companies and contractors to ensure their machines are equipped to protect their workers.
“We’re proud to play a part in making that happen – with local support, fast delivery, and a proven solution in OverWatch, and look forward to continuing the conversation with the industry at Vertikal Days.”
